return from poland

I’m back from Poznan. Our workshops for the Negotiation Days conference were a success. I enjoy spending time in Poznan. The people are fantastic and friendly. The food is good. The women are beautiful. I don’t think it gets any better than that. The city is vibrant and has a young urban chic-ness about it with plenty of shopping and fine dining. In fact, Poznan is home to Europe’s largest indoor shopping mall. I think it is a city that wants to be a player on the international scene of cool places to visit.

I must confess that I didn’t take notes the whole time I was there. Hence why I didn’t post any blog entries. I was flat out busy from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. During the day I was delivering training and each night the organizers had a different themed parties for us. We had a LARP (live action role play) night, a karaoke night, and an after conference all night party. And I do mean all night. I walked back to my hotel as the sun was making it’s way over the horizon.

On Friday, I received a nice bonus to the trip. I ran into an old Polish friend who lives in Poznan. It’s been 2 years since I last saw her so I was pleasantly surprised to randomly run into her at a bank machine getting cash. We agreed to meet up on Saturday morning for a couple of hours before my flight. I thought we’d catch a cup coffee at 10, but instead of coffee, we had beer for breakfast! We chased the beer with scrambled eggs and an omelet followed by a massive ice cream sundae! Ah the simple pleasures of life.

The journey home was not so pleasant. The plane was delayed for 5 hours. And to make matters even more unpleasant, we had to evacuate the airport! I eventually made it home some time after midnight.

    I really want to visit Poznan, especially as I know a beautiful girl there. By the way, you’ve been tagged.
