That’s the dream

You know, I’m always harping on the idea that you should do what you love and love what you do. I don’t know how many times I’ve shared this quote:

The master in the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence at whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him he is always doing both.

That’s the dream, at least for me.

The reason I’m sharing this quote again is that I just finished watching Gary Vaynerchuk’s latest video and he’s right on the money with the message and the methodology to make that quote a reality in the new economy.

I’ve been out on the small business networking circuit for the last 5 months and I can tell you the majority of the small business owners I’ve met don’t get this. They haven’t bridged the gap between old and new technology. More specifically, they haven’t figured out how to make the new technology work for them in the most organic of ways.

Anyway, watch the video and let me know what you think.
